Elizabeth, of Sunshine Millinery, is a talented textiles artist. Her work combines traditional craft with experimental play and whimsy, using reclaimed materials to create wearable sculptures that celebrate individuality and imagination.
Elizabeth has experience running workshops for diverse groups and loves creating welcoming spaces where people can learn, make, and express themselves freely. She is a qualified Level 2 Teaching Assistant having just started her first TA job at my local primary school in the early years setting and has experience running workshops and creative sessions for groups ranging from Key Stage 1 up to adults.
Elizabeth’s creations sing with a sense of character and playfulness – from a rainbow trout headpiece fashioned from an upcycled silk necktie to a denim moth and a pigeon wearing a top hat and monocle.

Their Journey
When Nikita applied for the Billboard Showcase in the summer of 2025, she was on the cusp of an exciting new adventure – to travel around the world for a year creating public art! Inspired by the quality of her work and her travel ambitions, we wanted to offer Nikita support from her home county of Lincolnshire while she toured the globe to help keep her anchored within a local network of artists and followers.
In her interview just before setting off in summer 2025, Nikita talks of her plans to provide video content on the murals she will be working on and a video diary of her travels. The Billboard Showcase supported her work by linking her up with travelling artists and helping to maintain her profile through our TV channel and social media platforms. One of the first videos documented an incredible mural Nikita created for Adidas in Warsaw, Poland, after securing an internship with a leading brand agency, viewed nearly 7,000 times on the Billboard TV Facebook page. Other notable posts included a tour of the slums of Mumbai (viewed over 70k times) and the Candy to Ella train crash (14,649 views) which joined many other colourful videos weaving in Nikita’s artistic adventures across the globe.
As part of ongoing support we are connecting Nikita with local mural painters across the UK online and supporting her with online resources such as a free session on social media.
‘Being part of Billboard Showcase has helped me so much,’ says Nikita. ‘It has inspired me to document my travels through creating content on Youtube which has then helped me to secure commissions. Next, I fly to Australia where I have lots of jobs booked and then to the outback near Perth deep into the countryside to crack on with a whole load of murals! I will be documenting all of the murals and sending them back to Billboard and keeping people upto date with my work - which will likely feature a few kangaroos! I’m excited to share this journey with everyone at home and keep creating murals across Lincolnshire when I return.’
